IMC has been running a series of Workshops for local schools which aims to encourage the current generation of children to recognise the significance of climate change and how they can influence this.

IMC’s food waste recycling solution, whereby food waste, that might otherwise have been sent to landfill where it emits harmful greenhouse gases, is instead recycled into high quality compost, provides the platform for this extra-curricular activity.

Children in secondary education can see first hand the importance of sustainability and how their actions may underwrite the Earth’s long term security for future generations.

IMC’s contribution has been arranged by Glyndwr University in support of the Reaching Wider initiative, a Wales-wide, Higher Education Funding Council for Wales strategy, established in 2002, with the objective of broadening participation and access to higher education.
