More industry recognition for IMC

NRA

IMC’s “Compod” food waste recycling system has been short-listed as a finalist in the National Recycling Awards 2011. The Compod contains all of the equipment necessary to convert the 50 plus tonnes of food waste that is generated on Imperial College London’s largest, South Kensington campus into a high quality compost that is then used on the College grounds.

Hosts of the National Recycling Awards, MRW, confirmed that competition had been extremely high this year and that all the finalists demonstrated outstanding quality, innovation and best practice.

Dennis Moore, IMC’s Business Development Manager, is delighted with the recognition: “We are hugely pleased that the Compod has achieved this recognition in such a high profile awards competition and are now keeping our fingers crossed for ultimate success when the winners are announced in a few months’ time.”

IMC’s Compod was recognised with 2 prestigious Rushlight Awards earlier this year.

…and even more recognition…

Compod

Hot on the heels of its short-listing as a finalist in the National Recycling Awards, IMC’s Compod has been short-listed for a letsrecycle.com Award for Excellence. In the category of Innovation in Design of a Waste Management Facility, the Compod is in competition with two other finalists, Clearview’s Anaerobic Digestion facility at BV Dairy in Dorset and Vital Earth’s in-vessel composting plant in Ashbourne, Devon. The winners are announced at a lunch-time ceremony in London on 12 May. The Awards are now in their eighth year and are renowned for showcasing innovation, dedication and success in recycling and waste management.
