Temperatures Soar at JP Morgan Stanley

The recently installed food waste recycling system at JP Morgan’s offices in Bournemouth is performing beyond even the greatest expectations. The high temperatures being recorded in the In Vessel Composter, which represent a critical criterion on which the site would be judged to achieve ABPR accreditation, are a clear demonstration that the process is working exceptionally well and that the resultant compost is of an extremely good quality.
JP Morgan employs over 3,000 people on site and generates around 800 litres of food waste every week, through the production of breakfast, lunch and dinner 5 days a week. The food waste is macerated and dewatered in the kitchen using an IMC Food Waste Disposer and “WastePro” Dewaterer, before being taken in small bins by grounds staff to the site’s waste recycling area where it is loaded into an In Vessel Composter for recycling into compost.
The investment in the equipment and its installation has been calculated by JP Morgan to pay for itself in less than 2 years.
