IMC’s food waste recycling system achieves further Award recognition

IMC’s food waste recycling solution has enabled waste and facilities management solutions provider, OCS WasteLine, to secure the Runners-Up position in this year’s prestigious Sustainable FM Awards for “Sustainable Supplier of the Year – Total FM Service.”

Through its niche contract cleaning service provider, Strand, OCS WasteLine introduced IMC’s system in to one of its most important clients, a global financial services firm with operations in more than 60 countries and UK offices in London and the South East.

Director Richard Earl explains: “We are constantly reviewing the market-place to ensure we are able to deliver best value to our Clients. Even with our vast experience, food waste has proved to be a particularly difficult waste stream to dispose of.”

The client’s Building Manager sits on her company’s Environmental Committee and is keen to educate colleagues at other sites; “This has been a really exciting initiative and one that is absolutely right for our local environment.”
